Other Programs
AMH also offers a program to provide full day care for children enrolled in the 3/4 Day Program. The extended day staff oversees the remainder of the day after 3:00 pm dismissal and plan thematic art, music, cooking and educational game activities. Ample opportunity for outside time is given. We welcome children as early as 8:00 am; they will be greeted by the morning classroom assistant. This program is often used by working parents who find they need to drop off earlier and is available for a small fee. It is generally available on a drop-in basis for a separate fee. AMH's summer program is not Montessori instruction, but rather a camp incorporating the Montessori principles of grace, courtesy, respect for self and other and practical life skills as well as outdoor play, activity choices and on-site presentations related to weekly themes.
